Treston Wheat (@trestonwheat) joins TheCollegeConservative as a graduate student in the Security Studies Program with a Terrorism and Sub-state Violence concentration at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and history from the University of Tennessee. In addition, he spent two summers studying Hebrew at the Brandeis-Middlebury Hebrew Summer Language Program at Middlebury College. He was a columnist for the Daily Beacon, an intern at the Center for the Study of War and Society where he studied Special Operations in the Vietnam War, and a Baker Scholar at the Howard Baker Center for Public Policy where he did research on Afghani nation-building and Israeli counterinsurgency. Currently, he is an intern at a known conservative think-tank in Washington D.C., and is a writer for World Report News.
